Immersive Titanic Experience in London

Step aboard The Legend of the Titanic

Transport yourself back to 1912 and relive the fateful journey of the Titanic as it set sail from Southampton bound for New York. Explore the marvels of technology and luxury aboard one of history’s most famous ships, from its opulent first-class suites to the roaring boiler rooms, in an interactive experience that places you at the heart of the Titanic’s story.

Located at Dock X, Canada Water, The Legend of the Titanic brings history to life through cutting-edge technology, offering a fascinating day out in London for the whole family. Inside, visitors will find a collection of curated artefacts and replicas from the Titanic, alongside props from James Cameron’s Oscar-winning film.

The Legend of the Titanic Exhibition Entrance

The exhibition begins with a VR musical experience featuring the Titanic’s band performing their final piece. From there, guests step into an immersive projection room, where the story of one family unfolds across the ship’s different levels, offering a deeply personal view of the tragedy.

Visitors can then explore the metaverse zone, a breathtaking VR experience that creates the sensation of being on board the Titanic itself. For younger attendees, an interactive drawing station lets them create Titanic-inspired artwork and watch their designs projected onto a giant screen.

This unique London experience is perfect for Titanic enthusiasts and families alike, blending education, entertainment, and immersion. An augmented reality app enhances the experience, making the journey more engaging. Additionally, there are interactive games and photo opportunities available, including the fun chance to recreate the iconic Jack and Rose pose. To round off the visit, guests can relax in the Café Parisien and browse the themed gift shop.

Tips for the Best Experience

Be aware that strobe lighting is used, and some visitors may experience mild motion sickness in the VR and projection areas, though nothing more intense than being on a real ship. For the most comfortable VR experience, we recommend wearing contact lenses rather than glasses where possible. Small lockers are available for belongings, so bring a small bag to avoid inconvenience.

To save time, download the accompanying AR app before your visit. If you’d prefer to dine outside the exhibition, Corner Corner, a nearby food hall offering a variety of cuisines, is just a two-minute walk away. With the exhibition located only five minutes from Canada Water Underground station and fully indoors, it makes for an ideal rainy-day activity.

The London Places team thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition, with the metaverse area standing out as the highlight. We eagerly await their next immersive experience, The Last Days of Pompeii.
