Armed only with instructions, riddles, and puzzles delivered to your phone, you and your team must navigate the city on foot—without maps. Wrong answers bring time penalties, pushing you further behind your rivals. While there are multiple routes to each checkpoint, the most obvious path may not always be the fastest and could present tougher challenges. Strategy is key.

Here at London Places, we joined the experience starting at Liverpool Street Station. From the very first clue, we were hooked—running alongside other teams, scouring streets for hints, and solving puzzles that led us deeper into the city. As lifelong Londoners, the event gave us a refreshing and surprisingly educational perspective on our hometown. To succeed, we had to pay attention to details we would usually walk past, from hidden architectural flourishes to tucked-away works of art and historic landmarks. The combination of competition, discovery, and fun made for an engaging afternoon.
Tips For The Best Experience
Wear comfortable shoes. You’ll be on your feet for hours, so plan accordingly—especially if long walks are a challenge.
Take advantage of rest stops. Partner venues along the route allow the timer to pause, giving you a chance to sit down, recharge, and enjoy food or drinks at a discount.
Bring water and snacks. Staying hydrated and energised will help keep your team sharp between stops.
